Idle battery maintenance FYI
« on: December 21, 2021, 11:02:37 am »
Idle  battery maintenance for a battery is important  to extend the life of your  lawnmower batteries ect. I charge all my  batteries  at least once a week.  I have 1 battery that is a 3 year  die hard  battery  I got  on 11/13 and it's still  going  strong .

Is it good to keep a battery topped off using a solar panel?

I will  say  yes as long as you have a  charge  controller on it.

Evidently SLA BATTERIES are not among those. I have to replace them every 3 years. They are maintained by the electronics in my Uninterruptible Power Supplies.
