Yes the video helps .
On the circular type "form closure" where the follower has to reverse direction because of outside forces , it could be made less violent if there were two rollers on the follower so that one rides the inside cam surface and the other rides the outside surface
So far not boring, my kind of stuff, it's the math that gets me sometimes.
