Very 😎 cool.

Does the printer or the stl file supply all the support structure thats supporting the bottom of the blades on the table? Is it automatically figured out and put in? Or is it just a consequence ?

The "slicer" program (free from a number of sources) puts the support in automatically as well as fills in the insides.

I just noticed that the vawt arms have the same airfoil profile as the blades. I guess there will be no axial thrust force on the bearings, it may even take off.  ;D

The upper arms will be upside down.  They will push back.  ;-)
That funny wiggle in the transition is visible in the printed part.  I'll have to fix that in the final version if it works.

The bottom finished at around 11:00 pm.  I started the top this morning and it should be done around dinner time.
The printed parts are a bit heavy.  I could see them having balance issues.  And splitting the part in the middle of the vertical surface makes it weaker in a highly stressed area so strength may be an issue too.

The top half is printed.  I made a few dowels and put the two halves together; they are not glued yet.  The center pillar is just a smidge longer than the sides.  I don't know why.
I have the steel shaft.  Bearings and magnets are due to arrive on Friday.  I have to design and print the base and a cap for the top.

I was thinking that too.  I'll try moving some of these photos etc. to a wind turbine topic.
