This method seems workable. Their website has a video showing complete 360 rotations but I think if they use an alternator it wouldn't matter if it makes complete 360 degree rotations. Any motion on the weight/pendulum/flywheel would cause motion and generate electric current .
Waves don't come at the exact same frequency and the period of the wave chages, so the timing of the waves could actually counter the rotational forces.
