« Last post by CG on August 23, 2023, 08:22:40 am »That's true. But I keep seeing the weights moving down ( discharging the gravity battery) without a load. It's not as perfect as I originally thought.
Maybe if you have two weights, one could be falling(discharging) and one could be raising ( charging) if there was power left from the discharging one it could be fed to the raising motor.

« Last post by Caleb on August 23, 2023, 05:23:18 am »I hadn't thought about that. Wouldn't lower demand result in less resistance from the generators which would cause the weight to move faster? And if you used brakes to slow it, you'd be wasting energy.

Oddly, they supposedly broke ground in 2020, there is a short video clip of construction (moving dirt), and then nothing. I could just be unable to find current information. Maybe I should try Google Earth to see if it shows anything in Pahrump, NV.
